Our Store is Live! We Finally Did It!

We finally did it. I am embarrassed to admit how long it has taken to build our very own online store. We don’t do anything normal anyway??

Our goal is to provide the solar homesteader with the items they cannot find anywhere else and at the lowest prices possible. No matter where you live in most of the world you can buy solar modules, batteries and even inverters locally. Why would we want to compete with those suppliers and take money out of their pockets?

We don’t.

A smaple of products you will find at SolarHomestead

It is our goal to provide the hard to get items like AC breakers, DC fuses, DC fuse holders, special hard to find bus-bars such as those made by Midnite Solar, DC shunts, circulating pumps, special AC breakers used in Midnite Solar, Schneider Electric/Xantrex, Magnum Energy, Outback Power equipment, low voltage electric heating elements, lightning arrestors, relay drivers, specialty DC and AC solid state relays for dump loads, actual dump loads, UL/CSA listed MC4 cables and connectors, UL/CSA listed MC3 cables and connectors, UL/CSA listed battery and inverter cables, cable and wire lugs and bus-bars for do-it-yourselfers and items we have either purchased from bankrupt solar companies.

We keep our prices as low as possible by purchasing directly from the manufacturer to avoid the middle man.

We also plan to add odd homestead items such as rocket stoves, aquaponics equipment, and other items required to grow your own food.

We have no intention of becoming a massive corporation and will use much of our profits to help the people of Haiti as that is where my heart is after adopting two children from there and many trips to Haiti.

this website is awesome. I will continue to read it. We are going to buy a range with a battery when our power goes off. We have found a peerless premier that we are looking at for our modular or manufactured home.

Thank you Sharon,

I appreciate the kind words. The Peerless is the way to go. If you live in the US, Best Buy is carrying most of their models. If there is anything I can do to help you along the way please do not hesitate to ask. And don’t forget to checkout http://solarhomestead.com for lots of articles to help you choose other off-grid friendly appliances…Jody
